What is your question?
Yesterday on 28 Oct 24 my family started driving for a 6.5 hour trip. We left around 0530 and after an hour or so of driving I noticed a subtle burning smell which I thought was environmental, so I decided to turn on recirculation. It was immediately after this that I noticed my windshield starting to condensate on the inside and then a minute later my wife said it was starting to feel stuffy. From that point on I still haven't gotten A/C air from any of the vents. Things that I have checked to verify proper function: Comp clutch fuse and relay under the hood, HVAC fuse under the glove box, Compressor clutch engages and light stays on the dash, recirculation actuator works, blend door actuator works, and blower is working. I am not sure if the burning smell was from a component/wire or if it was environmental like I thought. After a lot of googling I am unsure of what the actual issue is. I appreciate any and all help. Thank you!

Hello, it sounds like an air conditioning system fault, either from loss of refrigerant due to some kind of leak or other system failure, such as a failed condenser fan or compressor failure. Hands on testing of the air conditioning system seems t one the next logical step. As far as the burning smell, it's very speculative as to what would have cause that. I'm not sure that's what I would focus on in this moment; I'd be looking at the failure off your air conditioning system and how to resolve it. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
