What is your question?
I have a 2021 Chevy Trailblazer 1.2L with about 61,165 miles. I'm having an intermittent issue when shifting into Drive and sometimes while driving. When I put it into Drive, it engages, but sometimes the vehicle will stutter/jerk several times before it starts moving normally. The best way I can describe it is almost like “stutter-stutter-stutter, then go.” The engine RPM does not flare or rev up when this happens. It stays around idle. It isn't consistent. Sometimes it happens after the vehicle has been sitting for a while, but other times I can drive somewhere, shut it off briefly, come back out, and it will do it again. Other times it won't. Today when I put it in drive after coming out of the store it engaged but didn't move and the engine didn't rev when I hit the gas. I have not noticed the same problem when shifting into Reverse, and there are currently no warning lights or check-engine light.
How long has your 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer had this problem?
More than a week

Hi - Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. There is a service bulletin about the following sensations from the vehicle: Surge - Chuggle - Fishbite - Shudder Although I cannot be sure, it is possible that this describes what your vehicle is doing. The bulletin discusses possible transmission fluid contamination with coolant - so this can be pretty serious. See a shop near you to have this checked out sooner than later. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link to find some shops near you who can help out!
Hi, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Thanks for reaching out. Sorry to hear you are having car issues. As Dave pointed out there is a service bulletin that could explain what you are experiencing. However there are quite a few things that could be causing your symptoms. A quality should should be able to check for bulletins, check for any stored or pending codes and get it diagnosed properly to determine the appropriate course of action. As this is something that could be a safety issue and could get worse and potentially become more expensive to repair if left unattended, I’d recommend having it checked out soon by a certified shop.
