I know this question is almost a year old, but I'm bored. So, I'll answer anyway.... The speedometer and other cluster gauges are common issues on these vehicles. The fix for this particular issue is to order new stepper motors which can be purchased fairly cheap on amazon. This fix requires someone with knowledge of soldering to complete. It is also essential to pay attention to the re-calibration of the gauges once the new motors are installed. If I had to grade this repair difficulty on a scale from 1-10, I'd give it a 4 max. The odometer readout failing to display is most likely due to one of two things. First, check your fuses. A blown fuse could cause this to happen, but would most likely cause something else to stop working as well such as the radio. The second thing to check would be resistors on the instrument cluster. Every once in a while these components fall off due to poor solder joints during manufacturing. Look at the contact pads of the printed circuit board for signs that a component was once there but no longer is. Once again, the fix would require soldering skills. I'd give this a higher difficulty due to having to search out the missing component (6/10). Alternatively, you could always just purchase a new instrument cluster to the tune of $300-$400 and fix all of the problems at once with little thought to anything other that just simply removing the dash panel, removing the old cluster, installing the new and putting the dash panel back on. Difficulty = 1/10 Hope this helps someone in the future!
