Good Day, It may just be low on Freon so only the first half of the evaporator is getting cold. Before going any further the vehicle should be evacuated and recharged with the proper amount of Freon. Any reputable shop in your area should have the right equipment to do this and they can tell you how much Freon they recycled at the same time.
