I also noticed screeching on turns especially even if I turn slowly at corners . The gear shift knob / button cannot be pressed to change gears. It's stocked at Neutral now.

Hello, There are a few possibilities of what is going on with your shifter. 1. The ignition switch is malfunctioning 2. The shift interlock solenoid is not releasing the shifter 3. The brake light switch is not functioning, so the shift interlock solenoid will not release. Any one of these issues can be temporarily fixed with the shift-interlock solenoid override button. On your model, I believe the over-ride button location is underneath the plastic cover that surrounds the base of the gear selector, but check in your owners manual to be sure.
