About 1 week ago service engine soon light came on and I took it to get a code reading which is code P0440 Evap emissions malfunction

how long had it been since you put gas in it? alot of times these evap codes are from the gas cap not being put on correctly
i had the same code was told to run octane boost to help the emmissions run cleaner there is a black box that gets all carbined up and can cause that code had code shut off been running octane boost every fill up so far so good
