Try checking the brake light switch on the brake pedal of your 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer.
I don't have an answer but a question poer throught fuse 34 in rear fuse box pulled apart fuse block and power probed foem both blue wire to back tail lights nothing foud constant 6v on brake wire pin d. overlayed wire to left brake light from conn. and tries brakes light works but turn signal on dash on the print does not show anythinh between fuse34 and pin d on brakes what did I miss
I changed it and still have no brake lights. Everything else works.
Is the high mounted brake light out also?
No
If the high mounted brake light is working then you know the brake light switch is good. There is a fuse for the lower brake lights in the rear fuse box (under the 2nd row seat, drivers side). Check the VEH STOP fuse. If the fuse is good and there is power to the fuse the chances are you have a wiring problem between the fuse and the rear lights.
Problem is solved, thank you very much
If the fuse blows again be sure to check the brake light bulbs as socket plates for problems.
