Gas Guage Malfunction

What is your question?

The gas gauge on my Trailblazer has gone crazy. I was hopeing it was the float, but I am told that the Instrument Cluster needs to be replaced and the cost will be $525. Is their another way around this? $525 is steep to repair a gas guage.

Yes, you can buy a replacement cluster from the dealer, or you can have yours replaced, look in the yellow pages for someone who rapairs radios and insturment clusters, should cost about $150.00 - $250.00, the insturment bezel just pops off you may need to unplug a few switches which may be alittle difficult. Then it is just plug and play.
