I have a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer. Tried to go somewhere and car started fine but it is stuck in park. Gear shift moves like normal and steering wheel is not stuck. It just will not move out of park. Wondering if it is the transmission or possibly just a loose cable from the gear shift to the transmission?

If the shifter is working on your 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer then someone will need to look at the transmission under the vehicle to see if the shift cable is moving the shift lever on the transmission. If the lever is not moving then the cable and shifter will need to be inspected. If the Shift lever on the transmission is moving correctly then the fault is inside the transmission.
if you are parked on a grade it may be just in a bind try moving or pushing it up hill a lil to unbind it
Had same issue it was the shift cable on transmission had came off ...I pulled up at a store and put in park not noticing I was rolling tried to put in park but was locked in place could not shift are turn key cable had came off in drive ....hope this works.,,
