Hi - I am Dave, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. I have to say, it's best to leave the speculation on these newest models to the master technicians at your GM dealership. While under factory warranty, these folks have the best available resources to assist you. Sometimes it may take some persistence to get a problem to occur for the techs - so keep trying. Reduced acceleration and limp mode is usually due to a transmission issue, an engine temperature issue, or a throttle issue. It prevents you from causing more damage to the vehicle components that are compromised - while allowing you to get to a safe location in brief. Good luck - keep trying!
