What is your question?
Front head light hold water and moisture drilled pinch hole in bottom corner of light and water came out but it is still holding moisture. Replaced the bulb and still does not work. tried to go to dealership to get a whole new light and was told on back order. Also I have a noise in the rear of the vehicle that sounds like metal is grinding. Had the rear differential checked and fluid was empty so they added. Still hearing the noise ever now and than not as much as before. Took Vehicle to the shop and they said they did not hear anything or could not find anything wrong. Really tired of spending money to find out the problem. I don't think they drove it long enough to hear the noise at the mechanic shop.
What makes this problem better or worse?
hear it when going up a bridge or just driving on flat surface
How long has your 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe had this problem?
started 10/13/23 and still after taking to get it looked at

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! You've got a couple of classic gremlins there! For the headlight issue, drilling a small hole to let the moisture escape was a good move, but moisture can still get in if the seal's compromised. Don't give up on finding a new headlight assembly, though! There are TONS of aftermarket options out there. Just give it a quick Google search, and you'll find a plethora of options. Use your VIN to whittle down the possibilities. Now, for the rear noise, if you’ve already topped off the differential fluid but still hear that grinding, you might be dealing with some worn bearings or gears. Since it happens when you're driving uphill or on flat surfaces, it could be related to the load on the drivetrain. Insist the shop, take it for a longer test drive or, better yet, ask if you can ride along to point out the noise. Hope this helps and saves you some headaches!
