oil pressure gauge issue

my oil presure gauge goes to 80 and stays there. Is this caused by the oil pressure sensor and if so where is it located on the engine so that I can replace it?

You have a bad oil pressure sending unit.

I have a 2006 Tahoe & the oil pressure gage was going up & down now it stays on 80, is it the oil pressure switch ?
