Hi! This is Bo with Car Genius at RepairPal! Weird drains on the battery are always a source of frustration. This could be a slow or even intermittent electrical draw that could cause the symptoms you described. Check all grounding points and ensure they are clean and making good contact. A problem with the instrument cluster could cause the gauges to stop working. Sometimes, a bad ground will kill the power to the instrument cluster. It sounds like a voltage drop killed them last time or the draw is from the cluster itself. If you have any other questions feel free to call us at 877-913-1554!
