My A/C quits blowing cold air when it rains or when it is very humid outside? It still blows air out, but turns hot almost instantly. It will sometime turn cold again, but most of the time requires sitting turned off for a while and will then work next time the Truck is driven. The pressure is good when the A/C blows cold, but shoots up to 100+ when it stops blowing cold air. Any Ideas?
Of the two connections it is the smaller one. The one that fits the guage you can buy at wal mart to add r134A and has a guage on it to check pressure. The pressure is within the limits it states are normal pressure unless it quits working in the rain or during very high humidity.
Any luck? I have the same problem with my 2500. I've had it for 3 years and It just started doing this. Anytime it rains the ac compressor clutch disengages. I've tried jumping the pressure switch as if I were going to refill the refrigerant and it still doesn't enagage. This makes me think it is a control issue.
