Trying to find out why transmission slips between 2nd 3rd gears its a 4x4 tahoe 1996

What is your question?

It shifts fine until you get to third gear it runs rpms high and acts like there is no gear but when you let the gas pedal release to idle then it goes into gear what's wrong
