i did a stupid thing today trying to change my oil filter i did not have the rig

What is your question?

the right sizes tool so i tried poking a hole an useing a scewdriver like i had down many times however this time the filter came apart an now its just the top left to the houseing , i tried turning it useing a chissil i can not get it to come loose ,,, can any one help?

carefully keep hitting it and not damage the mounting or the mating surface. you are commited now to get this off. Roy

DON'T KNOW YOUR SKILL LEVEL BUT, WITH A NEW FILTER SAME THING THAT WAS ON THE ENG.MEASURE FROM HOLE TO HOLE ACROSS THE END THAT SCREWS ONTO ENGINE180Â° ACROSS FROM EACH OTHER WITH A FLAT PIECE OF STEEL DRILL TWO HOLES TO MATCH THESE HOLES. PUT BOLTS THAT WILL FIT INTO NEW FILTER HOLES THROUGH THE HOLES YOU JUST DRILLED STICKING THROUGH ENOUGH TO REACH THE HOLES IN THE PIECE ON ENGINE YOU WANT TO REMOVE. WELD THESE BOLTS IN PLACE NOW WELD ON FLAT PIECE A NUT OR OLD SOCKET TO HAVE SOMETHING TO TURN WITH. IT WORKED FOR ME ON ONE TOWED TO THE SHOP FOR THE SAME RASON MAKE THE BOLTS JUST LONG ENOUGH TO REACH THE PART ON ENG.MAY HAVE TO REMOVE MORE OF THE OLD FILTER. THE SHORTER THE TWO BOLTS ARE THE BETTER.READ INSTRUCTIONS ON FILTER BOX TO INSTALL NEW FILTER. MAY WANT HAVE OIL CHANGED AT QUICK LUBE PLACE NEXT TIME, MOST OF THE TIME IT IS CHEAPER! GOOD LUCK. GET HELP IF YOU NEED IT TO MAKE THE TOOL. USE THE EXACT SAME FILTER TO MAKE TOOL!!!
