front drive shaft will not come out of the transfer case.is this problem normal

Sometimes they are a b---t. If they are rebuilding it they should be able to get it out. I have beat the he-- out of them before and once in a while the keeper ring will not let go.

You need to cut the clamp and pry the boot off the stub at the transfer case. Drive shaft should slip right out.
