This module is around the key cylinder. Kinda like a door hanger lookin thing. Cant turn the key..can this device lock up that cylinder so it wont let you turn the key? I tried electrical cleaner, jigglin steering wheel, shifter..little w-d...new key. Nothing. Locked up tight.

Make sure it's the right key!!... Rock steering wheel a little harder..maybe. The security system not going to keep key from turning if it's the right key for the vehicle! .. I did see one more trick on YouTube that actually worked when I tried it @ the shop... If no luck, let me know.
My 2009 Silverado’s key cylinder locked up with key in it. I couldn’t turn the key to start the engine. SOLUTION: Pay attention boys. I changed out the key cylinder. $80 to do it yourself. It was a piece of cake. If you have good mechanical skills, you can do it. Just go to www.a1auto.com and purchase it. You’ll be glad you did. It totally solved my problem. Don’t worry about programming. The kit comes with tumblers to match the original cylinder. That website even has awesome video tutorials of how to do it. So....I couldn’t believe how easy it was to do it myself.....just do it! You’ll thank me later I would only hope😁
Hi..its the same key thats been starting it. Rocked n rocked not workin. I sent another question to everything ive done didn know this one posted..lol. What else can I do to get it to the start position to chg it out? Thanks!
Hit the key with a rubber hammer pretty hard a couple of times then try to turn it... Hit it squarely on top as to drive it deeper into lock... It worked for me , one time anyway!
