i was having problems with my truck idling rough and stalling out. My mechanic advised me to let him remove the catalytic converters. The truck runs no better and starts no better. Now what?
First off find a new mechanic and get your cats back.

It is against Federal Law to remove the cats in ALL 50 States! Will you get caught,probably not? I understand Florida does not have emissions testing,but it's still illegal and a FEDERAL crime and a hefty fine for you and also the mechanic/shop that cuts them off,but again will you ever get pulled and they (DMV-SHP) do a visual, I doubt it!
