Chevy truck will randomly start then immediately die

Idk I will look when it does it again if so what could it be

It's a 'possibility' the Vehicle Anti Thief System (VATS) isn't recognizing that key... Try another key... VATS will let the engine start, then cut fuel flow... The security light will tell if that's the trouble.
