my brake pedal will not go down sometimes. really hard to push down. no brakes.

It doesn't do it all the time but when it does it is really hard to push, no brakes and the it will go back to working normal again for a day or so.

IF the ABS warning light is not coming on in the dash(?) .. That is indicative of brake booster failure .. Have auto repair shop check it out ASAP ... Never know when you may need to STOP suddenly!
