I changed the started and forgot about thr battery terminal and starter sparked.

you forgot to unhook the battery while changing the starter motor,and the wire shorted to ground! test ALL fuses with a test light on both sides of each fuse with the key on.may have got lucky and popped some fuses instead of the computer.
