What is your question?
1995 Chevy Silverado Half Ton 5.7L Ever since I've let a non mechanic work on my truck, my check engine light comes on when I reach 55mph and the only way I get it to go off is to shut it off for a few seconds. But I've replaced distrib.cap, rotor bug, etc. Should I go ahead with a 02 sensor? And could I just take the upper off and soak it in cleaner for required time, then dry it good and reuse? Thank you in advance! ToolHeadTj Motor is sound w/ no smoke, or blow by...and definitely no engine noise.
What makes this problem better or worse?
As the motor warms up, it gets worse on length of time
How long has your 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 had this problem?
For last 6mths

You’ve posted two different year models - 1995 will be OBD 1 operating system. 1999 will be OBD 2 operating systems. A comprehensive ‘professional’ scan test is highly recommended regardless of which system is present. Parts stores are incapable of testing OBD 1 systems and are very inefficient at testing OBD 2 systems! Good luck!
