changed fuel pump on 1997 Chevy Silverado but the New pump will not come on.

I was having cranking problems with my 1997 Chevy Silverado had to put gas in carburetor to crank so I changed the fuel pump but it's not coming on when I try cranking it up so it's not starting but it is turning over but not cranking all the way.

There is a fuel pump fuse in the under hood fuse box .... When key is turned to the on position - fuel pump relay should CLICK on for 2 seconds then CLICK off .. Relay is also located in the under hood fuse box. A helper comes in handy for testing!

Is there 2 fuses to check under the hood are is it 1 I mean besides the relay fuse.
Does the relay CLICK on - then CLICK back off after 2 seconds - when the key is turned on? That’s what I need to know next .. THEN we’ll get to the fuse.
