I just replaced my radiator and thermostat and now it idles really high. Why??

i replaced my thermostat and radiator on my 2007 chevrolet 1500 silverado classic style. After filling with antifreeze fluid we took the truck for a test drive and the truck is idling really high when i put it in park why would that happen?

What makes this problem better or worse?

when i place the truck in park it idles super high
