Why does my speedometer not work after changing the transmission

What is your question?

Swapped transmissions in a 2001, five speed, 2.2 l, S10 and now the speedometer won't work. It's the only component that doesn't work.

The vehicle speed sensor that drives the speedometer is on the passenger side of the tail of the transmission. Ensure you have a known good sensor installed here and that the wiring is connected securely and with continuity.
