What is your question?
Occasionally the brake warning lights come on while I'm driving (Always both together). There is no regularity to their coming on, but usually they light up within a few minutes of driving. There has never been a situation where my brakes have failed to work...even the anti-lock feature. Unless the truck sits for hours after being turned off, it never starts immediately...only after 5 or 6 seconds of turning the starter or if I release then retry the starter will the engine fire up. Any ideas what might be malfunctioning?

if you don't have any fault codes stored you could have a bad ignition ground, usually if this is the case then several of the lights that would illuminate when your key is in the on position with the car off will turn on. usually a tell tale sign will be another accessory that stops working when the lights turn on.
When you see the ABS warning light illuminate on your 2001 Chevrolet S10 fault code(s) should be set in the ABS control module. Reading these code(s) with a scan tool and then properly diagnosing and repairing any faults found will be necessary in order to keep your ABS light from coming on - It is normal for both the red brake and the yellow ABS lights to come on when an ABS fault is present. As for the hard starting, My first suggestion would be to connect a fuel pressure gauge, check for correct fuel pressure. Fuel pressure should also hold steady for a reasonable amount of time after the engine is turned off. Fuel pressure bleed down can cause a hard starting, the cause will need to be diagnosed and repaired. If the fuel pressure is correct and holding steady checking for spark and correct data from the engine sensors would be next.
ABS and Brake light both came on and stayed on, then brakes locked up. Removed ABS fuse 8 months ago.... lights still on but quit locking up and no problems.
