10W-30 oil should work just fine in your 1999 Chevrolet S10. Don't forget to properly dispose of your used motor oil!

If your truck is over the 100,000 mile mark than i suggest using high mileage, pure synthetic motor oil. 10w-30 is a good oil weight to use. Make sure to buy a new oil filter along with your oil!
