My engine temperature gauge and fuel gauge in my 1999 Chevy S10 pickup truck are out and I can't figure out what's wrong. Also, my battery light is on but the battery is fine. Can anyone help me?

I have a 1999 Chevrolet S10 2.2 5-speed and I had the exact same problem. There's a connector under the driver side dash that's not plugged into anything. There's supposed to be a splice cap on this connector. It's the data line coming from the cluster. If you don't have a splice cap or don't know what it is, you can cut all four wires and simply connect them all together. This solved my cluster issue.
I just fixed lots of issues on a 2000 S10 that were related to a bad power connection from one of the two underhood 50A feeds to half of the interior fuse box. Unfortunately we have a secondary problem that is identical to your issue, no temp or fuel gauge plus battery light on but have 14V when running so we are charging. I am leaning towards a regulator on the cluster but haven't done all my homework yet. Any feedback would be welcome.
Same issues. Have replaced cluster, pcm, ignition electrical with known good parts. find no issues with voltage, grounds, continuity or shorts. At wits end!?
I have a 1998 GMC Jimmy 4.3L, automatic with select 4 wheel drive. I had the battery light, low fuel light come on, the fuel gauge went to empty, and the coolant temperature gauge dropped to the lowest reading. After hours of testing circuits and scanning the system. I discovered that the 4WD Fuse #15 10A, located in the I/P fuse block (left side of the dash) was blown. Not thinking this had anything to do with my problem I still replaced the fuse, and whala, the battery & low fuel light went out, the gauges started to work!!! I know it sounds like BS but it's true. Now I have to locate the short to ground that keeps blowing the fuse.. I hope this helps guys.
Hello and thank you for posting this it just helped me out a lot. But have you found out the fix for this problem yet? I have a 2000 blazer 4.3 with this same issues. Yesterday I replaced the 4x4 fuse 10 AMP #15 as it was blown like u said. Today it has already blown again. I must say that this is puzzling?? It also seems to effect the digital shift indecator that tells u what gear u are in on the collum too. The car still runs as it should and every thing else still works I dont understand it.
Had same problem. It started same way then got worse. Come to find out wiggling the bat cables temporarily fixed it. Even tho the ends look good on the outside the wires were corroded under the insulation. I cut them put new ends on an BAM! GAUGES NEVER MESSED UP AGAIN. on a different zr2 it was the ignition switch. Take off bottom cover on Colum locate plastic box (ignition switch) turn key on and tap gently with plastic screwdriver. If GAUGES start working don't get excited until you replace it. If that fixes it it will only be temporarily. Hope this helps
The next step to this problem is locating the short to ground.. I suggest making a primitive circuit breaker. Using a old style turn signal flasher stat, #552, solder to wires to the two terminals and two mini spades to the ends of the wires. This will allow you to replace the fuse with the make shift circuit breaker. With the unit plugged in and the key on, you can now trace the short without damaging the circuit and constantly blowing the fuses. I would start with unplugging the front drive shift actuator, then the transfer case shift module. I hope these suggestions help. Carl L Hamann ASE Master Certified Technician/Automotive Instructor

Did you figure it out? I have the same problems with the lights and gauges, idk what else to do
