speedometer cuts in and out. then just quits

when i first start the truck. the speedo works for about a half mile. then it starts jumping up and down. and then just quits all together.

Hello this is common on the gm vehicles as they age the instrument panel cluster starts to fail and needs to be replaced or rebuilt.HAVE A BLESS DAY from DR. RECO.

I have had the same problem and had to replace mine. Once i changed the cluster it was fine.
