What is your question?
Truck runs fine then low on gas the other day and it started sputtering. put gas in ran fine back to home. next day got in it started and didn't even make to end of block it died and wont start now just turns over but wont go . Changed the fuel filter and ran ok for boyfriend while he drove around the block . Then parked and started up again and it it wont go. Sometimes it will start and just for a few minutes then dies again. This has happened before but when it was very hot out we live in Las Vegas. Has never done it before in normal temps. 80 degrees during day now Nov 2021. what can this be ? I see many adds people have posted that have had the same problem but no real specific answer to the problem. Can anyone help with some advice before I take it to the mechanic and he charges me a high price for something that I may not need.
What makes this problem better or worse?
nothing makes it better or worse just wont start . sometimes starts but go to drive and just dies

Hello, everything is speculation until testing is performed. It will ultimately cost you more to guess at things that might be wrong, throw parts at your truck, and then be wrong – – then it is to have a professional check it right the first time, make a suggestion and then repair it. My first suggestion would be to perform a fuel pressure test first when the engine is off and cranking, to see if it bleeds down. Even a running test is helpful. No conclusions at all can be made until you figure out what is happening. Fuel? Spark? Air intake? Too hard to tell.
