4.3 vortec blazer vin W have replaced IAC three times in past 2 years starts and runs good 85% of the time check engine light comes on with code #32 starts running rough,don't dare shut it off does the PCM control the IAC if so where is it located ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED JAY

yes it does. under the dash. carbon causes the iac valve to fail. try cleaning out the carbon before next replacement. also, egr valve is common failure for bad idle as well. iac cannot compensate idle and throws code. Roy
Code 32 is probably caused by a piece of carbon stuck in the EGR valve causing the pintle to stick wide open. The engine will idle very badly and tend to stall when the throttle is closed. This is a well known problem and I had it myself after I removed the intake manifold to replace the 'Nut Kit'. The solution is to install an EGR gasket with a screen to block large carbon particles. The IAC motor is not the problem. GM issued an updated PROM that cycles the EGR when it gets stuck like this, but if the carbon particle is big enough (1/4 inch or so) the EGR gets stuck at 100% open and can't clear.
