The job you are attempting is a 5 wrench job on the 5 wrench scale. You need special tools, for instance a torque wrench. A head gasket job is expert level work, not for the beginner, but, I give you an "A" for willingness to attempt it. Take some pictures and send it to my email address. harts.auto.repair@gmail.com

me and my husband are both in auto mechanics classes and are close to being ASE certified. we are just not fimilar with 4.3l v6.. I just need to know whether all of the pulleys have to come off or not?
