Smoke from exhaust tail pipe 2000 chevy monte carlo

Have experienced mechanic 'read the smoke' .. Smoke from tail pipe contains many clues as to what the problem is by the properties it exhibits .. Color, smell, density//consistently - (does it linger or dissipate quickly) are all telltale signs.. Vehicle presence is required for diagnosis! .. Good idea to check all fluid levels.
