Replacing shifter nob

What is your question?

I have a 2000 Chevy metro 1.3 l 4 cylinder automatic trans. The previous owner had the transmission rebuilt but as far as I know it is the original transmission for that car however, the shifter knob is aftermarket cheap from AutoZone I think it keeps coming apart . How do I fix or replace?
