What is your question?
When going over bumps, ex: speed bump, I hear my front end creaking, like a squeaky spring sound. Car has felt like, for lack of a better guess, that I have poor shocks. Loud over bumps, feel every bump, for a while. Handling has gotten bad. Mechanic just replaced sway bar. Absolutely no change. Then front struts. SLIGHTLY less creaking. But feeling and hearing no big improvement. Been there 4 times. What next?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Creaking was louder in cold. Loudest to me when going slowly over something like a speed bump?
How long has your 2018 Chevrolet Malibu had this problem?
Slow progression over 6-10 months

Hi this is Dusty, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team. Chasing noises is a frustrating experience, and there are a lot of possibilities in any steering and suspension system. It's possible the noise could be originating from any of the following components: Control Arm Bushings: If they’re worn out, they can cause noise and affect how the car handles, especially over bumps. Ball Joints: If they’re faulty, they can make noise and affect the car’s stability. Stabilizer Bar Links: Even though you’ve replaced the sway bar, these links or the sway bar bushings could still cause problems if they’re worn. Strut Mounts: If the strut mounts were not replaced with the struts, they could be the cause of the noise. There are other less likely possibilities as well, and it’s important to check all these parts to find out what’s causing the problem. A new perspective from a high-quality facility can help find the problem and fix it. If you have any questions or would like help finding one of our shops, give us a call at (877) 913-1554
