Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Malibu. The running lights are typically secured with screws, plastic clips, or brackets that hold them in place within the bumper assembly. If the light is sitting on a metal plate, the clips or brackets were likely broken or dislodged in the accident. You may be able to reattach it by accessing the area behind the bumper and securing it with replacement clips or zip ties if the original mounting points are damaged. Before reattaching, inspect the housing and wiring to ensure there's no further damage. If you're unsure, a local body shop can help you get it re-secured properly. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered. Give us a call at 877-913-1554, and we will happily help you out!
