how do I reset the emergency trunk release

What is your question?

Trunk latch catches but won't stay caught. The emergency release lever in trunk may have been pulled, how do I reset it?

I've never heard of having to reset the latch. The only times I have come across symptoms like that required replacement on the trunk latch
