Vehicle would not start, had towed to repair shop (non dealer) About 2 days elapsed from time of non starting to tow and repair shop looking at. Vehicle started at the shop. No computer trouble codes. Battery tested weak and was replaced. About 10 days later vehicle would not start again. Towed to a different repair shop (non dealer) Again, time from non starting to tow to being looked at by repair shop about 2 days. Again vehicle immediately started for repair shop with again no on board computer trouble codes. Ran fine for 5 weeks. This past Sunday wouldn't start but was much much closer to turning over than the previous two times. Had towed on Monday, (non-dealer) shop just called today (Tuesday) vehicle started right up, with again zero trouble codes. One thing, saw online that a gas station (chain/franchise) where we buy our gas from had problems at some local stations with water in their gas (not intentionally). Could water in our gas be causing this issue?
How long has your 2012 Chevrolet Malibu had this problem?
3 times over a 7 week period

Hello, when the problem occurs, does the engine crank and crank just fine, but not start? Or does it crank too slowly or not at all? Use this link to find some shops near you that can help with your concern: www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
Thanks for replying. First 2 times cranked but wasn't anywhere close to turning over and starting. 3rd time cranked and was right on the edge of starting but couldn't quite turn over. Frustrating because we have towed it to three reputable repair shops but since it started all three times for them with no trouble codes to reference they couldn't do anything. Although one guessed it could be a fuel pump issue.
