Hello, when the steering wheel shakes during braking, it is typically due to the brake discs being warped. They will need to be measured, inspected for the degree of warping, and either resurfaced or replaced to resolve the issue. As an added note, warping of brake rotors typically occurs when the brake system overheats. The most likely cause of this is brake fluid that has not been serviced or replaced at least every 3 years (should have been twice by now on your vehicle), and / or towing or carrying excessive loads. Brake fluid naturally attracts moisture -- water -- from the outside, so becomes diluted and contaminated naturally in the environment. Replacing your fluid can maintain the proper peak braking temperature performance of the vehicle.
