Car will go a day or two without needing a jump and then several needing a jump every time. Engine stays running 8-10 seconds after key is turned off. I've made sure it is the engine and not the fan. Car set for 2 days while my friend was sick when she tried it again had no issues with starting and engine was turning off when the key was turned off.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Can't make it do it, or make it not do it.
How long has your 2011 Chevrolet Malibu had this problem?

This can be anything from a sticking relay to a failing switch or harness. The best thing is to take it to a qualified repair shop to get a diagnostic. While it may not find your problem it is solid starting point. Find a shop here https://repairpal.com/repair-shops
