Hi - I am Dave, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. When you say "air running hot" - do you mean air conditioning? Revving by itself - you'll want to test engine performance to see what is going on. A good diagnostic technician can be employed to figure out what is going on - throttle body, idle control valve, throttle sensor, air intake leaks -- all the possibilities.
