I apparently have a 2.4L 4 cylinder 6 speed transmission in my 2009 Malibu. I'm having quite the time finding a decently priced replacement for the 2009 model. When I search online, they all seem to think that my car is a 4 speed (i.e. O'Reilly, Auto Zone, etc.). However, GM says that it is a 6 speed. So, what I am trying to find out is if a newer model (2011 or 2012) transmission would fit my car? They are all MH8, but the dealership says the part number is different so they can't tell me for sure if it would work. There just seems to be a lot more options for 2011 or 2012 transmissions. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
