Was it recalled for electrical problems in the car

This does not sound like anything related to a "recall", but you can contact your local Chevrolet dealership with your vehicle identification number (VIN) to determine if you have any open recalls for your vehicle regardless of that. It sounds to me like you have something as simple as a battery failure or charging system failure that should be evaluated.
