Just noticed a clunk in the steering especially when I turn to the left.

I had that problem in the beginning and received something in writing from Chevrolet. It was my steering shaft which stopped working and it had to be replaced. It is going again and I will have to have it replaced again. I do believe that there are alot of factory flaws in the 2005 Malibu's. Your dealership should repair the problem free of charge. If they try and make you pay then write the Cherolet corporation and explain to them your problem.
