Hi, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Sorry to hear you are having issues with your 2005 Chevy Malibu not starting. Since this is a new symptom after replacing the engine, there are several things that could be at play. Narrowing it down will require a bit more information. When you say it is not getting power, what do you mean? Is the starter not getting power? Or is it cranking but not starting? You could be looking at something as simple as a blown fuse or something not connected properly. A good starting point is to verify fuses are good, confirm power and grounds, and perhaps see if there are any codes stored that would provide a clue. Retrace your work and make sure everything is connected properly and no wires got damaged in the install process.
