The car keeps leaking oil but it's not the oil pressure sensor it's not the top of the engine not the gasket but under the accelerate wire it looks like a pil pressure sensor in the type of plug that screws in and has a wire plugged into but when I bought a replacement lil pressure sensor I can see it's way to big to be what this is and the oil pressure sensor is normally at the bottom of the engine

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! It sounds like you're describing a leak from a part near the accelerator cable on your that resembles an oil pressure sensor but isn't the standard type you'd find at the bottom of the engine. Given its location and description, it could potentially be a different sensor or switch related to engine management or transmission functions, rather than oil pressure. These sensors can vary in size and design depending on their specific function. It's important to trace the source carefully to identify and resolve the leak. Clean the area around the suspected leak thoroughly and monitor it closely to pinpoint where the oil is coming from. If the replacement part you bought doesn't fit, it might be for a different sensor or component. Consider consulting a repair manual or seeking advice from a mechanic who can visually inspect the area and provide guidance on identifying the correct part and fixing the leak effectively.
