hello i just bought a 2003 chevy malibu and get this not even 24hours of owning it the intake goes out and theres nothin the dealer ship will do so just wondering if i put the newer metal intake gaskets in will i have this problem again? and or could there be a chance somethin els could be wrong? it never over heated just went a hair over half so im hopin alls i need to replace is the intake gaskets thanks

I am sorry to hear you have bad luck so soon. There is a Service Bulletin, they knew these gaskets were a bad design and have a new style gasket. Labor to replace gaskets is 6 hours which sound high to me.

yeah it really sucks i got a guy that can do it for $360 thats with this new gasket set that is metal so i just hope nothin els goes wrong like the head gasket but i herd u would had to had it over heat which it never did so i hope im good on that.
