I had this code the mechanic said i had a bad egr. I replaced it and 20 miles later the mil was back on with the same code. The car has 100000 on it

most likely the passages are blocked up with carbon. the valve was probably ok. Roy
I cleaned the ports and replaced the egr again. I ran a can of sea foam through the motor then cleared the code. I drove the car about 20 miles and the same code popped back up. I checked for vacuum leaks but found none.
