i just wanted to know how expensive it is to replace the windshield in a 2001 chevy malibu?

I am not sure about your area but we have several mobile windscreen replacement services in our area, look in your local phone book and call them for cost. In many cases your insurance will cover it.
You will need to contact glass companies local to you. Try a web search for an appopriate source. I would guess you will be around $300 for a windshield, but I do not know for sure.
